Channel imbalance? Apparently not an issue.

Whether you noticed or not, it seemed like a lot of the latest rips have a channel imbalance with the left being significantly louder than the right. Worriedly, I've just spent the better part of the night trying to figure out what was wrong. After endless frequency and phase analysis, testing of cables, sine wave tests, audio system test records, entirely different external soundcards, and recording mono records in stereo, I have discovered that this is not - I repeat - NOT an actual issue. It's made up and all in my head.

Want proof? Download and listen to NO FUN's "At The Disco" which was posted a few days ago. You'll notice the right channel is the loud one. This is not due to cables being plugged into the opposite inputs accidentally, this is simply a coincidence that several records in a row all favour the left channel over the right. Further proof is the rip I'm about to post in a little while (THE MUMMIES "Peel Sessions" bootleg) favours the right channel ever so slightly. So, yes, coincidence, fluke, fear-inducing, whatever you want to call it: it's not real.

If somehow my findings change and it is actually a problem, all the affected rips will be re-uploaded in due time.

Happy listening.
