D.O.A. - White Noise Tour (1980)

Artist(s): D.O.A.
Title: White Noise Tour
Format: 7"
Year: 1980
Label/Catalog: Sudden Death (bootleg)

This record sounds like shit. The actual vinyl itself doesn't have much surface noise and the only major ticks/pops are at the end of "Let's Fuck" (which is incorrectly labeled as "Fuck U" on the back cover) and the beginning of "Fortunate Son", so the reason this sounds like shit is because a) it's a bootleg punk recording from 1980, and b) it's D.O.A. who never have been the greatest sounding or performing band live. Five songs recorded in Vancouver at some point in 1980. Though this has "1980 Sudden Death Release" written on the back cover, it is indeed a bootleg with blank labels and scratched out matrix numbers in the dead wax.

Includes a very early version of the track "D.O.A." which would later appear (in much improved form) on the apparent-term-coining Hardcore '81, and a CREEDENCE CLEARWATER REVIVAL cover, of all things.

"Imported from the Great Canada Wastelanders" and, from what I recall, sold before/during/after their first US tour. I don't remember where I read that so I could be mistaken and as it's a bootleg, it definitely wasn't sold by the band.

Oh, and the bass is HUGE.
