A post-punk/proto-industrial LAFMS band that existed from 1977-1982. Often collaborating/playing live with BOYD RICE in the early NON days, one notable show being NON / 45 GRAVE / MEAT PUPPETS / MONITOR at the Press Club in 1981 (of which there's a bootleg floating around somewhere). This 7" boasts a guest appearance from the man himself, BOYD RICE, on vocals and "pinwheel". Some pretty no wave action on these two quick cuts. Male and female vocals take the lead on each track respectively. They'd later release a full length, once again on their own World Imitation label along with the first MEAT PUPPETS 7", do a brief stint as THE TIKIS, a surf rock version of MONITOR, and then move on.
If the vinyl was any thinner this would have to be called a flexi disc. Incredibly flimsy, but the sound is still superb after all these years. Enjoy!
In my copy is a pic of a child with two animals. A dog and a Lion. What's the meaning?

I used to have this record...I can still recall "Beak" without having heard it in decades.
